HighScope offers DRM-protected* e-books in the universal ePub and ePDF formats. PDF and ePub e-books that are copy-protected with DRM must be downloaded and read using Adobe Digital Editions or software that is compatible with Adobe DRM. The e-book may be viewed on up to six of the consumer’s devices using the same Adobe ID. The DRM-protected files have the following restrictions:
- Access to the e-book file is restricted to use by a single consumer with authentication through an Adobe ID.
- The downloaded file may not be shared or transferred to another user’s device.
- The e-book file may not be copied, printed, or distributed.
E-Readers are hardware devices that function primarily to display e-books.
E-Reader software is a program that allows the consumer to read e-books on different types of hardware devices, such as personal computers or mobile phones. For more information see our E-Reader Software Guide.
The e-book format you choose must be compatible with your e-reader device or the e-reader software you wish to use. For further instructions by device, please see our E-Reader Device Hardware Guide.
